What is SUBSCR. and why does it request email access?
SUBSCR. is a personal finance and expense tracking application that helps users manage subscriptions and genuine financial transactions in one place.
After the user gives explicit permission, SUBSCR. uses read-only Gmail access to identify receipts, invoices, subscription renewals, purchases, refunds, transfers and failed-payment notifications. It extracts information such as merchant, amount, currency, date and transaction status to provide the user with subscription and spending insights.
SUBSCR. never sends, modifies or deletes email. Scanning is initiated by the user, and connected accounts and generated records can be removed by the user at any time.
